Mariano Mayer

Secretary of Entrepreneurs and SMEs Ministry of production and labour of Argentina.

Lawyer of Austral University, his career was focused on entrepreneurship and venture capital, both in advising startups and funds and in collaboration with leading institutions, which promote entrepreneurship in Argentina.

He served as General Director of Entrepreneurs of the Secretariat of the Creative Economy of the city of Buenos Aires, both agencies created as part of the Innovation Plan and Entrepreneurship in the city.

He completed his Master “Business Law” degree at the Austral University and his graduate research focused on the patent issue. In 2014, during the GCE 2015 in Milan, the city of Buenos Aires won the GEC Cities Challenge for the rapidly expanding ecosystem of starups and innovation policies designed to promote growth of its entrepreneurs.

He was a partner at Tanoira Cassagne law firm, where he worked in the areas of Corporate Law, Intellectual Property and Agribusiness. He was also a member and Semi-Senior Partner at the Enterprise Department of Uriburu & Bosch studio.

In addition, he studied in Corporate Finance at CEDEF, he was a professor of Information Law at the School of Communication of Austral University and he has officiated as jury of several business competitions related to national and international entrepreneurial ecosystem.
